This checklist is designed to keep you two steps ahead. No jargon, no fluff, just what actually works.
4–6 Weeks before moving
Sort your stuff, don’t pay to move what you don’t love.
Book your removalists early (you know who to call wink-wink).
Start using up frozen food and pantry extras.
Notify schools, utilities, and service providers of your move date.
Gather boxes, tape, and markers, or ask us about professional packing.
2 Weeks before moving
Label boxes by room and priority (“Open First” boxes are life savers).
Confirm parking and access with your building or new street.
Organise cleaners for your old place (we can recommend good ones).
Arrange storage with us if there’s a gap between settlement dates.
Back up computers and pack important documents separately.
The week before
Defrost the fridge and empty gas cylinders.
Pack a “first night” box: kettle, mugs, toilet paper, kids’ PJs, all the essentials.
Confirm move time with our team (we’ll call, but it’s nice to double-check).
Tell your neighbours so the truck doesn’t surprise them.
Moving day
Keep pets safe, they’re not fans of chaos.
Walk through the house with our crew before we start.
Check all cupboards and sheds before we leave.
Make sure utilities are off and doors locked behind you.
Sit back and let us do the heavy lifting, literally.
After the move
Unpack room by room or let us do it for you (don’t rush, chaos unpacked is still chaos).
Check everything arrived safely, we’ll follow up to make sure.
Update your address with the bank, doctor, and rego.
Treat yourself, you’ve earned it.
