You can choose hourly, if we’re comfortable taking it on, but it usually creates the very thing people want to avoid: uncertainty. No two moves are the same — and what looks “not much” on the phone can mean something completely different once we’re on site.

Our on-site planning lets us understand what matters to you, spot the details that change timing (access, stairs, fragile pieces, packing, heavy items), and allocate the right truck, manpower and materials. That preparation protects your home, your belongings, your sanity, and our crew — and it sets the day up to run smoothly.

Same-day settlement is common — it just needs choreography. Our moving specialist will come to your home to assess, itemise and plan the move precisely, so we can build a tight timeline around your vacate time and settlement window. That way you’re not stressing about whether we started early enough, and our crew isn’t forced into a rushed, high-pressure move.

By sighting the move, we can also set up a Plan B if settlement runs late (or anything changes). Often, the calmest approach is to load on settlement day and deliver the next day (though it’s not always required) — it keeps everything controlled and protects the experience for everyone.

Drawers: We recommend emptying them. Leaving clothes in drawers puts extra stress on the runners and the cabinet, can affect the furniture’s integrity, and it also makes the piece heavier and more awkward to handle — which increases the chance of a tip or a knock.

Fridge / freezer: Yes, it needs to be empty. Fridges are usually tipped slightly to move, and anything inside can slide around or spill. The easy way is to pack your cold items into an esky right before we load the fridge — then we can make the fridge one of the first items off, so your cold goods go straight back in.

We’ve been working with Adelaide weather for 28 years — rain won’t stop the move. Our team is equipped to keep things moving efficiently and carefully, using protective equipment and solid technique to minimise downtime and keep your items dry.

If you’d like extra protection for soft furnishings (mattresses, couches and the like), we can supply plastic covers at cost. We can also lay protective pads at entryways when needed to help keep floors and carpets clean.

The two main boxes we use for most homes (around 95–98% of what you’ll need) are Tea Chests and Crystal Packs.

We use crystal packs for books because they’re a stronger, more versatile box in a professional packing scenario.

• Build: Well-cushioned, double-layer design to protect delicate and fragile items
