Part 14 (Moving Day)

M-Day is here! 

This part assumes you are using Complete Removals.

Here is your agenda for the day.

 

1.      Get up and have a good breakfast and coffee

2.      Pack your last boxes

3.      Remove cars from the driveway

4.      Wait for our arrival

Once we arrive, explain the move to us. Tell us what’s staying, what’s going and anything else we need to know. 

If you want to help and save money, start moving stuff outside 

Consider any rain and be sure to keep the areas our removalists will need to walk clear. Then start the final steps:

• Disassemble your beds

• Start with your boxes. Stack them single file along the wall of your house two to three high.

• Move the small items that didn’t fit in boxes outside (CD racks, picture frames, chairs, large kids’ toys, bedrails, garden tools etc.)

• You can move some of the lighter furniture outside too. Be mindful of cluttering these areas

Other tips that make our day.

 

Tetris.Packing a truck is like the game of Tetris to us removalists. When we look at furniture,we see shapes. Sometimes we need a certain shape and have to be able to get to it readily, so keeping areas uncluttered is a big help.

Check everything. Once the truck has been loaded professionally and impressively, check the entire house to make sure everything you want moved has been, and items you want to stay are still there.

Flattery will get you everywhere. Complement our employees for their hard work and any extra effort they put in. Your compliments will not go unnoticed and you’ll find they work harder. This has been proven 1000's of times on our moves.

Arrival at the New House. Once you have arrived at the new house, check each item that comes off the truck to make sure you are satisfied, or even impressed.
