“Can You Move A Piano?” - Piano Removals Adelaide

The short answer is Yes. Piano Removals are common and believe it or not they are quite easy. The only thing that makes a Piano even remotely challenging is steps and full flights of stairs. If you only have a handful of steps we can do them quite easily.....a good number would be up to 7 standard steps,  after that it gets more tricky. The reason anything under this amount is ok is because we can just set up our truck ramp and push the Piano up or down that. What makes moving pianos easy is a piano removals tool called a Piano Trolley. Its a 4 wheel trolley with stiff non turning wheels....so to turn the piano, it  needs to be lifted at one end to pivot whilst on the trolley. The problem with the trolley is it cant go up stairs, it can go up a step but not consecutive steps. So then the Piano then needs to be lifted by hand which is doable in short distances.

There are many tricks to use when moving a piano to make it easier, safer for the removalists and safer for your piano and home too. I will be the first to say that Piano Removals in Adelaide is a specialised field and not all removalists will do them and a lot don’t move them properly.
