In late 1997 my wife and I bought our first home and sought the services of a removalist. Like many of our customers today we had phoned around in the hope to find the perfect blend of value for money and peace of mind. Knowing first hand that this is one of the most stressful times both financially and emotionally. Days later we settled on a company that boasted that they had been in business for nearly thirty years and their hourly rate was very reasonable...
(Unfortunately their service was not.)
Ben's Rise to the top
During Corey's quest to source out a new generation of Adelaides best removalists he stumbled across Ben Ballard who worked his way up over many years from an offsider, to a driver, to our leading hand which is the highest position out in our trucks and then to his current position of General Manager which he is also excelling at. His unbelievable positive attitude benefits every client he comes into contact with and we challenge you to find a friendlier removalist than Ben on the phone.
Both Ben and Corey's elevated standards are well known amongst their competitors and happy past clients and their combined knowledge of professional moving is immense.
Our moving day arrived along with all the stress and complications
we had tried so hard to avoid. As our furniture changed shape and our new home gained many dents and scratches, as the mirrors fell so too did our opinion of this very well known removal company. With the six hour estimate turning into a ten hour ordeal, my wife and I found ourselves reluctantly taking over. In summary, the service we were promised on the phone, we certainly did not get!
After spending over a decade in the industry I have come to realise that many families a day in Adelaide experience the same type of ordeal.
Their poor level of service became our biggest inspiration
The last thoughts going through our exhausted minds on that first night in our new home was to be the start of our new business adventure. Our idea was simple, to provide a value for money service that we can be proud of and bring back true customer service. In January 1998 with one truck and two men, Complete Removals began.
